1. Which ships are covered by the Black Sea Grain Initiative?

ONLY ships carrying grain and foodstuffs from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny (commonly referred to as Odesa area ports) are covered. All other ships in the Black Sea, including Russian ships carrying allegedly stolen Ukrainian grain are not covered or inspected under this deal.

In the screenshot you'll note that the traffic under the yellow arrow (from Ukraine) is much less than the traffic on the right [of the image] coming from Russia.
2. What are the goods covered under the Black Sea Grain Initiative?

ONLY grain and foodstuffs are allowed to be exported from the Odesa area ports under the BSGI.

3. Who inspects the ships included in the Black Sea Grain Initiative?

Inspection teams from the UN Joint Coordination Centre are made up of members from the UN, Türkiye, Russia and Ukraine.

Each ship is inspected near the Turkish straits before it is allowed to enter the humanitarian corridor and again after it has loaded cargo and transited out of the humanitarian corridor.
